Privacy Policy

Foreshore (foreshore.no) · Last updated: 29 August 2026

Foreshore is an early-stage Norwegian research project analysing aggregate, publicly available data about European travel destinations. This policy explains what data we process and how.

What we collect

Platform data (Meta/Instagram)

Where we access Instagram data, we do so through Meta's official APIs under their terms. We read public content metadata (e.g. hashtag-level post volumes) to measure aggregate interest in travel destinations. We do not store personal profiles, do not track individuals, and do not resell raw platform data. Data obtained from Meta platforms is retained only as aggregate, destination-level statistics; underlying content references are deleted within 30 days.

Data deletion

To request deletion of any data relating to you (including data obtained via Meta platforms), email hello@foreshore.no. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.

Legal basis and contact

We process aggregate research data under legitimate interest (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Data controller: Foreshore (pre-incorporation project), Oslo, Norway. Contact: hello@foreshore.no.
